Activities in 2022

In 2022, we visited eight vedha patasala and understood how they operate and how much they are spending each month to run these vedic schools. We understood that on an average these patasalas are spending around one lakhs (Rs. 100,000) per month to run it. Sri Gopala Deekshidhar Vedha Rakshana Trust donated $10,000 (Equivalent to eight lakhs rupees) for these patasalas.

Along with vedic education these students are also learning mathematics, science and english. These patasalas are also providing free food, clothing, scholarship and medical facilities.

1. Sri Chaturveda Vidhya Ganapathy Veda Shastra Maha Vidhysthan, Athur - The largest Veda Patasala in Tamil Nadu
2. Various patasalas across Tamil Nadu dedicated to preserving Vedic education

Inauguration of Kandamangalam Patasala (2023)

With the blessings of Pujya Sri Kanchi Sankaracharya Shankara Vijeyendra Saraswathi Swamigal, Brahmasri Gopala Deekshidhar Vedha Patasala inauguration happened on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at Kandamangalam village.

Patasala Operations (2024)

In May 2024, we started running the Veda Patasalai in Kandamangalam Village, Via Thirukattupalli, Thanjavur District, Tamilnadu 613104. Currently:

• 5 students enrolled in Sukla Yajur Veda course
• 1 Adhyapakar - Sri Pramod Ganapadigal
• 2 cultural events organized, attracting 100 participants
• Full-time residential Manager and careTaker on staff
